The Italian machine manufacturer equips its thermoforming systems with Siemens software.

Comi has paid particular attention to Industry 4.0 capability in its thermoforming machines. That‘s why the lines are equipped with the latest generation of Siemens Human Machine Interface (HMI) software. This allows users to detect and fix anomalies in production without stopping the cycle. The software has integrations to external systems (MES / ERP) and is equipped with digitalized systems such as cloud computing, edge computing and augmented reality.

Siemens WinCC Unified System technology allows non-IT personnel to customize the user interface to their specific needs, simplifying operation.

Implemented functions include automatic parameterization based on product characteristics, as well as automatic diagnosis and identification of error causes.

Digitizing the machines offers a smarter, more innovative and more user-friendly product, Comi is pleased to say, pointing to the emerging benefits:
